Wu Congcong’s Yo-Yo for the 2024 China National Championship

A New Design Supporting the Quest for a Third Consecutive Title

From defending his China National Championship in 2023 with the Lithium.W (49mm width) to testing the Lithium Atom (50mm width) in early 2024, Wu Congcong’s competitive style has evolved significantly: big trick amplitudes, smoother execution, and greatly improved success rates during critical moments.

Through close observation and multiple discussions with Wu Congcong, one key need became clear—he required a wider, more stable yo-yo to handle the increasing complexity and intensity of modern competitions. With this insight, the Martian.W was created.

Design Concept

The design of the Martian.W is rooted in Wu Congcong’s gameplay and specific needs:

• Starting from the OG Martian with a width of 46.82mm, we expanded it to 50mm, offering greater error tolerance and enhancing stability and success rates in high-difficulty tricks.

• The diameter remains a classic 56mm, balancing speed and stability during play.

• The weight is optimized to 66.3g, providing precise control and an ideal feel during throws.

The Martian is not just a yo-yo; it is a testament to Wu Congcong’s growth and progress in his competitive journey.
